Description | Exterior of South Kensington Underground station, District, Circle and Piccadilly lines, featuring the original main building designed by Leslie Green and the adjacent southern arcade entrance by George Sherrin, which gave access to the sub-surface ticket hall. Above each set of gates within the arcade entrance, decorative ornate wrought iron work displays station name and line signage. On each of the pillars, bronze framed panels, with overhead swan necked light fittings, display posters. |
