    Biography
    Althea Willoughby was a book illustrator, decorator, wood engraver and painter of decorative tiles. She studied at the Royal College of Art. She exhibited at the Redfern in 1930 and at the The British Art in India exhibition in 1935. Her book illustrations included three in the Ariel series of individual poems published by Faber and Faber.

    Her mother Vera Willoughby also designed two posters for the Underground. (Riddell 1994)
