    Eric Lombers met Tom Eckersley at art school where they bagan to design posters. In 1934 they moved to London in order to establish their careers. Lombers produced 13 posters and 15 panel posters for London Transport working jointly with Tom Eckersley until the outbreak of WWII, which includes By Bus to the Pictures Tonight (1935), Rugby League Final (1936) and Radiolympia (1937). They shared a passion for progressive poster art. They also worked as visiting lecturers in poster design at Westminster School of Art. After the war Lombers taught art.
