    Biography
    F C Herrick studied at Leicester College of Art and Crafts and the Royal College of Art.

    He designed the famous Wembley Lion logo for the British Empire Exhibition in 1924 and also worked as a painter. A prolific poster designer he also produced posters for the Anchor Line and the RMSP.

    Most of his many Underground posters were designed for the Baynard Press, where he was Head of Studio. (Green 1990)
