Biography : Born in Oxshott, Surrey, he went to Kingston School of Art (1959-62) to study graphic design. After several years as a designer and typographer, he joined the London Transport Advertising and Publicity Office in 1971. As art director with London Buses and London Underground, he has worked on adaptations of the Underground map, timetables, signage, and other aspects of corporate identity. He is now an independent designer.
