Infrastructure

The infrastructure collection includes a wide variety of objects from telephones and tiles to seats and signalling equipment

The infrastructure collection comprises objects from the built environment of London’s public transport system. It includes larger pieces of infrastructure such as examples of rail track, tunnel lining rings and escalators. Other objects include design features used in stations and on vehicles, bus stops, seats, lighting and litter bins, all of which contribute to the city’s transport design history.
