Artworks

Original artworks for posters, maps and vehicle designs

The Museum cares for over 800 original artworks reflecting over 100 years of graphic art. These include works by well-known artists such as John Hassall, Man Ray and Edward McKnight Kauffer, as well as more recent designers such as David Booth, Paul Catherall and Ruth Hyde. The collection consists of both two and three-dimensional works of art, created in a variety of media. Artworks are crucial to understanding the design process and provide insight into the development of a corporate identity for London’s transport.
