London Transport Museum offers education sessions for those with special needs to enhance learning and enjoyment of our galleries.

SEN education sessions

The Museum is able to tailor a visit to the particular requirements of your group. Simply choose from our list of options. All SEN sessions are free.

Options include:

Sensory boxes, bringing transport to life through touch, smell and sound
Storytelling
Dedicated slot in our soft-play area
Symbol-supported guides to the galleries

The classroom will be booked exclusively for your group on the day of your visit, and can be used as a quiet area, should you need it.

London Transport Museum also runs outreach sessions in schools across London. If you are interested in a visit from the Museum, please get in touch.

Here are some guidance sheets so you can start to plan a school visit. You can use these whether you are booking a visit for a Primary, Secondary or SEN school.

Booking

Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 sessions cost £1.50 per pupil. Group leaders and adult helpers go free.

Secondary school and SEN sessions are free, but cancellation charges apply.
