Tube Stock Engineering Display

The Friends are working closely with the Museum in developing a new tube stock engineering display at Acton Depot, designed around a car of withdrawn Victoria line 1967-tube stock. 

When introduced over 40 years ago, this first Victoria Line stock was at the forefront of engineering design and development. The new display will demonstrate and explain the traction, braking, door and Automatic Train Operation (ATO) equipment of this innovative type of rolling stock, featuring a whole cab section and other components removed from cars withdrawn from service.
