Metropolitan Jubilee Coach

Steam–hauled Jubilee stock near Rickmansworth in the 1890s
The Museum has been successful in an application to the HLF development fund for a grant to support the restoration of Metropolitan Railway Jubilee carriage 353. The London Transport Museum Friends have offered to contribute up to £150,000 towards the total project costs.
The project includes a related programme of heritage skills development in connection with the restoration. It is hoped to complete the restoration work in time for the Underground 150th anniversary celebrations in 2013.
