The Friends support a wide range of London Transport Museum conservation projects, with their knowledge, enthusiasm and funding.
Current Projects
- Restoration to green livery, with original front-end, of RM2 -- one of the prototype Routemasters
- Planned restoration of Q-stock Underground cars, as part of a wider project to support the conservation and operation of heritage Underground trains

- Restoration of the 4-car set of 1938 tube stock
- Restoration of the AEC "Scooter" single-deck bus dating from 1931
- Conservation and cataloguing of the Museum's collection of black and white photographs
- Construction and operation of the Acton Miniature Railway
- Researching a complete and detailed database of London bus route changes
