London Transport Museum Launches Digital Advertisement Campaign
London Transport Museum is launching its first digital advertisement campaigns. Developed by King & Tuke, they will go live on 18 April 2011 on the London Underground CBS Outdoor screen based network in London Underground stations.
One of the campaigns, which is integrated with print media and radio, targets three key visitor lifestyle interest segments – design, nostalgia and family fun. Another campaign, which appears as cross track projections, targets the corporate venue hire market.

The campaigns have been developed for CBS Outdoor UK’s digital screen network on the Tube. The four advertisements will feature on Digital Escalator Panels (DEPs), LCDs and Cross-Track Projection (XTP).
The key messages are that the Museum has one of the most important collections of graphic art in the world, that it has a strong heritage collection and that it offers families an entertaining, value-packed day out. The family advertisement is enhanced by a radio advertisement that will be aired on London’s Magic 105.4 over the Easter holidays.
The corporate hire advertisement aims to raise awareness of the Museum as a venue that offers a sparkling backdrop for company entertaining in the galleries and in the Cubic Theatre. It has been timed to support the Museum’s strategy to position itself as a destination venue for corporate hospitality in 2012.
Claire Williamson, London Transport Museum’s Assistant Director of Marketing and Development stated, "Going forward from the initial relaunch of London Transport Museum at the end of 2007, we asked King & Tuke to develop a campaign that would be fun, contemporary and thought provoking and would appeal across the Museum’s diverse audience segments."
Jason King, Creative Director at King & Tuke, said “It was great to be able to work with the Museum’s outstanding collection, including graphic art, and move it into such a modern medium.”
